One of the services The Werx.Marketing team provides is to monitor the health of your website. To do this, we ensure your security certificates are kept up to date, and that there are no code problems causing your website to run slow or come down.
[00:00:25.490]
So, we need access to your Cpanel and hosting environment. If you are using GoDaddy, this video will show you how to add us as an agency to your GoDaddy account. This means that we have the access that you grant us to do things like monitor your website through the Cpanel. However, we do not necessarily, unless you want us to, have access to things like buying new products on your GoDaddy account. This also allows us to log into your GoDaddy account as us rather than using your username and password, and that way any work that we do on your behalf will be logged to us.

You will be able to see what the Werx.Marketing team is doing versus what your other tech access people are doing. Let me show you very quickly how to do this.
[00:01:13.750]
When you log into GoDaddy, different people have different first screens they log into, but what you want is the Account Settings button.
[00:01:22.110]
If the Account Settings button isn't showing in the top center sub navigation, go to your profile button in the top right, then select Account Settings from that access.
[00:01:33.790]
Once you are in the Account Settings area, hover over the Account Settings navigation item to reveal a submenu.
[00:01:41.490]
Scroll down to the link for delegate access. Here you will see any accounts you can access on the left. Most of you will not have any. Then you will see anyone who can access your account on the right. This is where you want to go. Click the "Invite to Access" button.
[00:02:01.990]
For security purposes, Werx.Marketing asks you to grant access to a single email address to access your account. We control who can access your account from there.
[00:02:06.190]
Using one point of access for Werx.Marketing gives us control over who is having access to the account. This is because we manage all of our password access through LastPass, which is encrypted. So if all of the Werx.Marketing team members open up LastPass and say "login as Andrea Hill," they would not see the password themselves, so they cannot save it.
[00:02:30.340]
Also, access to individual employees can be turned on and off within our Last pass environment. This gives you yet another layer of security to protect your account.
[00:02:41.320]
To add us to your GoDaddy account, just enter the name (Andrea Hill) and email address. The email address is andrea.hill@strategywerx.com.
[00:02:58.730]
Next, decide what level of access you want to grant. In most cases, the "product and domains" access is sufficient for our use. "Domains Only" will not allow us to do anything to manage your website and Cpanel. That will only allow us to do Domain and DNS Zone management.
[00:03:19.190]
Now, if you have somebody who's managing your email, for instance, that Domain's only access is sufficient for them. But for websites we need at least Products and Domains.
[00:03:29.570]
If you ever want us to make purchases on your behalf, like to order a new domain for you, or to order a new SSL certificate, then you need to give this product domain and purchase access. However, if you are comfortable going in and making those purchases yourself, then the only access we need is Products and Domains.
[00:03:50.310]
After that, click the invite button, and you are all done. We will get an invitation to access your GoDaddy account and we will be able to take care of your website management from there.
