One of the best ways to use A.I. tools like ChatGPT is for brainstorming and ideation. Here's a cool way to rapidly develop visual mind maps.
If you use a mind-mapping tool like SimpleMind or any program that will allow you to support OPML for visual displays of XML (some will require plugins), you can prompt Chat GPT to provide the entire mind map or branch of a mindmap with this prompt:
"Please provide me with a hierarchical outline example in XML based OPML 2.0 format on the topic of "PLACE YOUR TOPIC IN THESE QUOTES."
Once the answer has been generated, click the "copy code" link that will occur in the top right corner of the response. Paste into your program (or extension) to display your new mindmap branch.
Some MindMapping programs that will allow direct import of OPML code include:
- SimpleMind
-
MindMeister
- Mindomo
-
XMind: Although XMind doesn't have native support for OPML, it does offer various import/export options, including Markdown and CSV. You could convert an OPML file to a compatible format like CSV or Markdown and then import it into XMind.
