Tired of your brother-in-law and the utility company emails turning into HubSpot contacts? Here is how you control that.
The personal email integration with HubSpot is a powerful tool for improving communication across your company, but sometimes we find leads getting into the HubSpot CRM that just do not belong!
There are two things you can do to alleviate this (though they will not solve the problem completely).
1. Download the Gmail or Outlook extension so you can use HubSpot right inside your email system. When you are in an email, you can click the check-boxes in the top right corner of the email to indicate if you want to log and/or track each communication.
2. You can block domains and email addresses in the settings. Go to Settings>General and select the email tab. Scroll down to the bottom, and you will see a section called "Never Log." You can add blocked domains and emails there.
That will not stop all the non-contact contacts from getting in but remember that HubSpot allows one million contacts in your CRM system! If you take the two steps described here, you will minimize the clutter and likely never hit the upper limit of allowed contact records!
