# How to Send an Email from a Contact's Owner in HubSpot
## You can send marketing emails as if they are coming from the contact owner in HubSpot. Here's how.
The more personal we can make our email, the more likely our contacts are to read them. In HubSpot, if you want to send a marketing email as if it came from the owner of the contact, you can! HubSpot provides a simple, clear explanation of how to do it here.

In HubSpot, you can send an email

broadcast and have each of the emails
come from the contact owner.

Each email is coming from someone
the contact is likely to know instead

of from a generic email address
belonging to the company.

I'm going to show you how
to do that very quickly.

We go to Marketing and select email.

Then let's create an email,
and we'll use any old template.

Once you're in the email,
go to the settings.

What we're going to do is customize the
"from name" and the "from address."

So instead of directly selecting a user,
in which case every email in this

broadcast would come from this name and
this email address,

we are going to set a token which will
allow every email in the broadcast

to come from the contact
owner in the HubSpot account.

And in many cases, this is going to be
the person that the contact knows.

So your open rates and read rates are
going to be much higher this way.

So in the "From Name" field, we're going
to pick the token for the name of the contact owner.

And to do that, you click in the field

and then you come down to add
personalization token.

The type of token should be set to "contacts."

And then to select the property,
we're going to select owner.

And the property that we want
to select is contact owner.

And then the User Property we want
to select is going to be full name.

So every email will come from the full
name of the contact owner.

Hit insert and that token is here.

Then we're going to do the same
thing in the "From address."

We're going to go to add personalization
token, type is contacts.

Again, we want the owner,

so we select contact owner, and now the
User Property that we want to select is email.

So it's the contact owner's
email that we insert here.

And here's this personalization token.

And now in this email broadcast,
every email will come from the contact

owner, and this will improve your
deliverability and retention.
