Sometimes the best thing to post on LinkedIn isn't a post, it's actually an article or a publishing. It's a form of blogging, but using LinkedIn's publishing environment. And while we don't recommend that you use this in replacement of a blog on your website, which will help you with SEO and attracting the right customers, a LinkedIn publishing article can give you beneficial coverage on LinkedIn with the LinkedIn business audience and also gives you some opportunities for backlinks, which are also good for your SEO.

So how do you do a LinkedIn publishing article instead of a LinkedIn post? Well, when you're in LinkedIn and you see this section here that says, "Start a post," this is where you would go to do a typical LinkedIn post. Instead, go here to "write article." That's all you have to do. You've got your whole toolbar for styling up top. Hit Next, and you'll go through the publishing steps. Clearly, I don't want to publish this article, and you're done.

So when you want to bring some back links, qualified back links to your website and get a different type of exposure on LinkedIn, go ahead and use LinkedIn Publishing, I think you'll find over time it's a great supplement to
